Eight New Associates Join Gray Reed

Gray Reed & McGraw welcomes eight new first-year associates to the firm. Dallas associates include: William Drabble, Jonathan Nowlin and Lydia Webb. Houston associates include: Alexandra Ashcroft, Austin Carlson, Sandra Mazan, Brooke Sizer and Chloe Walker.

Alexandra Crawley is an associate in Gray Reed's Houston Oil and Gas section where she focuses on title examination. Alexandra graduated with honors from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Communication Studies. She earned her J.D., also with honors, from SMU's Dedman School of Law where she was Vice President of the Student Bar Association and the citation editor for the International Law Review Association.

Austin Carlson is an Associate in the Houston Corporate Section of Gray Reed & McGraw where he focuses on Tax matters. Austin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Tax Accounting from Texas A&M University. He completed his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law where he was an officer of the Student Bar Association and an associate editor of the Texas Review of Law and Politics. Austin has passed all sections of the CPA exam and will be eligible for his CPA license after completing the work experience requirement.

William Drabble joined Gray Reed's Dallas office. Bill earned his Bachelor in Political Science with highest honors from Texas Tech University. He completed his J.D, graduating first in his class, from Baylor University School of Law where he was Senior Technical Editor of Baylor Law Review. From 2010 to 2012, Bill clerked for Judge Walter S. Smith, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas where he gained experience in multiple areas of federal practice, including business litigation, bankruptcy appeals, employment law, and civil-rights actions. While clerking for Judge Smith, Bill also served as an adjunct professor at Baylor Law School, coaching three moot-court teams.

Sandra Mazan is an associate in the Houston Oil & Gas section of Gray Reed where her practice focuses on title examination. Sandra left her native Poland for an athletic scholarship in Track & Field at Brigham Young University where she received her B.A. with honors in Economics. She earned her J.D., also with honors, from BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School where she ran one more year of track, was on the Dean's list, and served as Managing Editor of Publication for the BYU Education and Law Journal.

Jonathan Nowlin joins Gray Reed as an associate in the Dallas office. Jonathan graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with a B.B.A. in Management. He earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Tech Law Review.

Brooke Sizer joins the Houston office of Gray Reed & McGraw as an associate in the Oil & Gas section where her practice focuses on title examination. Brooke earned a B.A. in Political Science and Communications at Tulane University where she graduated with honors. She graduated with a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center where she served as Editor in Chief of the Houston Journal of International Law.

Chloe Walker is an associate in Gray Reed's Houston Family Law section. Chloe earned a B.A. in Political Science from Rice University. She simultaneously completed her J.D and Master of Social Work at the University of Houston where she was also an articles editor for the Houston Law Review and an Irene Rosenberg Scholar at the Center for Children, Law and Policy. During the 2011 Texas Legislative Session, Chloe worked for a Houston area member of the Texas House of Representatives and was responsible for analyzing policy related to families, children and education.

Lydia Webb is an associate with Gray Reed & McGraw's Dallas office. Lydia graduated with honors from Baylor University with a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics. She earned her J.D., also with honors, from Baylor University School of Law where she was the technical editor for the Baylor Law Review.
