Gray Reed & McGraw attorneys Andrew Meyercord, Joseph Royce, Charles Sartain, Tom Rhodus and Kyle Sanders were listed in the 2011 Edition of Best Lawyers of America.

Andy Meyercord practices exclusively in the health care and transactional areas. For over 25 years, he has advised physician groups, hospitals, and other health care providers in all areas impacted by the health laws. In addition to providing ongoing representation to some of the largest physician organizations in Texas, he has devoted a substantial portion of his time advising clients on a broad range of legal issues relating to the structuring, organization, licensing and operation of ambulatory surgery centers and hospitals.

Joe Royce's practice focuses on estate planning, family wealth protection and transfer, administration of estates and trusts and the operation of private foundations.

In a career spanning more than 25 years, Charles Sartain has successfully resolved a wide variety of commercial disputes by utilizing his skills in litigation, arbitration and negotiation. His expertise includes cases involving oil and gas, health care, business torts, noncompetition agreements and theft of trade secrets, contracts, injunctions, employment discrimination and Election Code disputes. He has distinguished himself among his peers for his work ethic and his unyielding attention to the needs of each client.

Beginning his practice with seven years of experience as a trial attorney with the Tax Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, Tom Rhodus is an expert in navigating the confusing landscape of federal regulation and law enforcement. Combining his experience in government and private practice, Tom has taught courses in federal tax procedure as an adjunct professor at SMU's Dedman School of Law for over 25 years. Tom has also been privileged to represent some of the largest physician groups in Texas on an on-going basis in the numerous business, tax and regulatory issues that arise in their practices. He routinely represents clients in civil and criminal matters stemming from examinations conducted by the IRS, the Department of Health and Human Services, and other federal and state agencies. He has tried numerous cases the United States District Courts, the U.S. Tax Court, and the state courts.

Kyle Sanders, a director and shareholder in the firm, is the head of Gray, Reed & McGraw's family law section. Kyle's practice focuses on all aspects of family law including divorce proceedings, complex property characterization, valuation and division, child support modifications, modifications of visitation and parental rights, enforcement of court orders, premarital and post-marital agreements and adoptions. Kyle is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Prior to specializing in family law matters, Kyle practiced several years in the area of commercial litigation giving him the experience to handle the difficult business issues present in most complex property division cases. Kyle continues to handle commercial litigation cases for several clients allowing him to stay abreast of the evolving laws and issues in commercial disputes, many of which impact complex divorce matters.
