Gray Reed & McGraw Announces New Members of Board

The law firm of Gray Reed & McGraw is pleased to announce that Aaron Ball, J.J. Hardig, Charles Koerth, Andy Landry, and Ken Rhodes, of the Houston office were elected to the firm's Board of Directors, and James Jeffers of the Dallas office was named a Member and elected to the firm's Board of Directors.

Aaron Ball's practice concentrates in the manufacturing and oil & gas industries where he structures, negotiates and manages complex business transactions such as acquisitions and the planning and organization of business ventures. These transactions frequently involve corporate and tax planning issues in many different countries. In, addition to his admissions to practice in numerous U.S. jurisdictions, Aaron is also admitted to the Law Society of England and Wales as a Solicitor.

J.J. Hardig is an experienced civil trial lawyer.  He has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as in arbitration.  He has extensive experience prosecuting and defending large contract disputes involving complex legal and factual issues, typically in the construction realm.  His commercial litigation experience also includes successfully handling cases involving the Texas DTPA, breach of express and implied warranties, breach of fiduciary duty and Uniform Commercial Code issues.  His personal injury experience includes successfully defending serious products and premises liability claims involving toxic exposure, food contamination and crane failure.  He further serves his clients by advising and counseling on litigation prevention strategies and alternative dispute resolution methods.

Charles Koerth's practice focuses on the general corporate and transactional matters of small to medium-sized businesses with a special emphasis on the interests of their owners.  As a CPA and an attorney, his practice spans such diverse areas as business formations, business governance issues and formalities, financing, private equity funding, private placement memorandums, employment matters, contracts, leases, asset and stock sales, acquisitions, mergers, liquidations, consolidations, tax-free reorganizations, conversions, real estate and bankruptcy planning.

Andy Landry is a civil trial lawyer with extensive experience in litigation across Texas and other states. His practice involves products liability, toxic tort, wrongful death, property damage, premise liability, employment, food contamination, and complex commercial litigation.

In practice for over twenty years, Ken Rhodes is a seasoned trial attorney with an extensive practice throughout the State of Texas. His practice includes complex commercial matters, business torts, contract disputes, product liability, premise liability and contractor liability. Further, his practice also focuses on toxic torts including asbestos, silica, welding rod, benzene and mold, personal injury, general liability, insurance and litigation assessment.

James Jeffers's primarily represents oil and gas companies in their exploration and production operations. In particular, his practice focuses on natural resources law with an emphasis on title examination.
